Confirmed from Salmon River State Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sprawling destination for outdoor recreation such as hiking, fishing, field sports & hunting.

Excellent place to go for a walk, hike, picnic, fishing or just to sit and enjoy nature. If you are having a stressful day just sit down and listening to the river flow will relax you.
My favorite spot for fishing, hiking, or if you just need a break with nature! Best spot and so many areas in the river to explore
Nice hike by the river - not too strenuous. Most of the trail was covered in packed gravel. Couldn't find a way across to Day Pond Falls. If you are trying to get to the falls, I recommend parking up by the actual Day Pond and hiking the Salmon River trail.
Lots of room to explore the Salmon River. Walk or drive ( 4WD suggested ) through Golf road. Plenty of room to stop and fish or hike. The parking area offers lots of room to distance and there is a huge field for kids ( or dogs ) to run free. Walk across the street and visit the covered bridge.
