Confirmed from Samuel S Lewis State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Great view in many directions allowing for a view of either, Sunrise or Sunset.”

Such a clean, beautiful park with open space and incredible views. Great little trails throughout the woods, playground, plenty of spots to have a picnic, and a cool boulder pile for kiddos to explore.

The view is amazing! Love the various rock formations throughout the park, which is great for kids and to drive your toy trucks on.. The trails are not easily located and they seemed to be rocks and gravel. This park has many areas for picnics and an open space perfect for flying kites and I saw a couple.

Great views at this lovely park on a hill near the Susquehanna River. Played a nice 9-hole course that was very challenging but fun to hike through the woods. There were lots of deer watching our play-through, I think they wanted to play too.

We came here for a family celebration and the view is spectacular. The river, the bridge, the rolling hills and bridges. Incredible Susquehanna Valley views

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 25 mentions

“It's small, but offers plenty of room to play sports, fly kites, climb rocks, use the pavilion, benches, and picnic tables, or just enjoy the view of the river.”
