Confirmed from San Angelo Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“This nature trail is an easy walk with a peaceful presence along side the pond.”

I honestly really enjoy this place at a minimum of once a week, but try to go a few times a week. It's an easy walk, with nothing to strenuous or hard. I go because I take my dog there, and he absolutely loves the walk and all the smells.

Great for outdoor running. Pretty good area to let your dogs run free with you. Awesome West Texas scenery near the lake.

This nature trail is an easy walk with a peaceful presence along side the pond. I was drawn towards the narrow pathways near the the calm flowing water This trail has a lot more vegetation than ither trails in San Angelo. I enjoy the wild flora and the cacti. However, be careful not to step into the cacti.

Nice little trail. About a mile long and 80% shaded. Good place for the kids or dogs. Not a lot of elevation change.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
