Confirmed from San Rafael Hill's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area featuring kid-friendly hikes.
What runners say about San Rafael Hill
“Overall, it’s a nice quick easy hike and a good cardio/leg workout.”
Catalina Verdugo Trail is a 2.8-mile loop trail near Glendale Sports Complex in Glendale, California. This trail is considered an easy route, with an elevation gain of 550 ft which takes an average of 1 h 24 min to complete. If you want to lengthen your hike, the CVT interconnects with Ridge Motor Way. The C.V.
It's a very pretty park but is essentially one long path along Camino San Rafael. The access paths to it are a little bit far apart too. But! If it's a clear day, the south-most end of the Ridgeway gives one of the best (if not the best) views of everything from Anaheim to Century City, Burbank to La Canada.
Another beautiful entrance to the net of Flintridge trails 🥾 From this entrance, you can turn right to hike along the city of LA Canada Flintridge and find many amazing hidden spots, or you can go left and walk along the ridge ending with an excellent view to LA city.
Great views. You'll need to park a bit down the way and walk up the road to access the hike.
