Confirmed from Sandy Lee Watkins Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Big park featuring playgrounds and trails for walking and biking, plus picnic areas.
What runners say about Sandy Lee Watkins Park
“Very clean park, nice walkway and kayak launch in lake.”
“I think it's the beautiful relaxing peaceful place to go walk and get away and clear your head”
This is one of the most underutilized parks with incredible space to offer in the tri-state area. It has a very long walking/biking paved trail with dog poop bag stations.
Great and awesome park built on about 500 acres of reclaimed mine land. The park has about five lakes, walking paths for those who like nature walks, and soon fields for different ball games. Soon the park will be a favorite recreation place for the Henderson citizens and all their neighbors.
Really nice park. Lots of open space, walking trails, open shelters, lakes and playground area. Great party shelter in the very back.
Great new place nice long trails that are paved multiple lakes, walk by the corn just good get away
