Confirmed from Sandy Watkins Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“It is very quiet with no road noise.”
Such a wonderful place to take family go kayaking, fishing. Beautiful lakes, walking trails, shelters. I go every chance I can. Close to Henderson and Owensboro
Very nice paved trail. Long walk with pretty views of lakes. There is a boat ramp at the largest lake at the end of the park. Horses are also allowed but the walking path for them are not marked at all. It is very quiet with no road noise. Over all a very nice park to walk the dogs after a long winter.
Live close by, wonderful place to go relax, go fishing, go walking on trails, or simply take your kids to play at the park. Our kids love it
I love taking my pupper here to let her run up at Lake Virginia. Park has paved walking & bike path. It's clean & maintained.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
