We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Sawgrass Trailhead at Atlantic Boulevard yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Familiar area for walking, biking, and jogging, with views of the sunset.
What runners say about Sawgrass Trailhead at Atlantic Boulevard
“Gorgeous place to come and enjoy the nature, tried fishing but got skunked, parking was plentiful.”
“Excellent remote walking area that provides a peaceful respite in the Everglades.”
What an excellent place for everything nature; hiking, biking, fishing, to simply site seeing. Fly a kite if you like. Lots of birds, gators , & all kinds of critters. There are trails that seem to go on for miles. The water & endless miles of canals are the attractions.
A beautiful and peaceful spot to watch the sunset. The trail is simple and well-maintained, perfect for a relaxing walk, biking, or just sitting and enjoying nature. The views during sunset are truly stunning, with wide open skies and vibrant colors.
Great place to watch the sun set. Got pretty busy and parking is limited but we were able to park on the street. A food truck was in the lot. We brought some snack and chairs with us to enjoy the sunset. Some mosquitos around, no lighting on trail after dark.
One of Miamis secret hidden gems! Best sunset spot by far on the east coast. It’s the closest thing we have here to a Naples sunset. Parking becomes an issue as the sun goes down but we’ll worth the drive! Lots of people, dogs and bikers. There’s a 2 mile trail out to a tower if your adventurous.
