Confirmed from Schuylkill River Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with a trail along the Schuylkill River that is especially scenic in the fall.

“When it's raining, sitting in the car & watching the water is very peaceful.”
One of the best and longest trail I’ve never ran through a big city! Just in time I enjoyed the Manayunk festival was great
The SRT is one of the best running trails in the USA. With miles and miles of interconnected trails, the SRT is a fantastic trail system for cycling, running, and walking. There are plenty of parking lots and trail heads every couple of miles and lots of wonderful views and new places to explore.
This looks like a really nice trail. I took a walk because I arrived a bit early for a dinner reservation at In Riva. Later I checked a map. The trail is really long. It would be fun to explore on a bicycle.
The SRT jas a new extension. Now stretching from the Art Museum area all the way into West Philly, this trail is a gem for riders, runners, walkers, and anyone who loves a good view. My husband and I took advantage of the beautiful weather and enjoyed a scenic bike ride along the river.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
