UPDATE: The train tracks are active again. The loop was rerouted, but it wasn't clear that was the case when we went, so check the trail map, even if you've been there several times like us, and watch the markers. This is a great little local gem. Some beautiful scenery over the river.
Really nice trail setup which includes access to a nice sandy beach. There is also a half mile uphill climb that has nice scenery. All trails combined are 2.5 miles but the elevation can get your heart pumping.
Short but varied hike with beautiful views of a beaver pond, wetlands and the Connecticut River. 1-mile loop would be great for little legs or if you are looking for a quick but satisfying walk in the woods.
Fabulous snowshoeing trail with great views of a frozen Connecticut River. One could hear the ice flows cracking as we hiked down the train tracks near the river.
