Confirmed from Selah Ridge's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Selah Ridge
I stumbled upon the trail after discovering a sign on the side of the Yakima Greenway trail. In winter, the path is reasonably will used and simple to find even if there is no explicit signs other than the nice informational signs. On a clear day, the views from the ridge were really nice and I could just see Mt.
Great hiking area. I'd suggest it to anyone that love hiking but also be careful of course. It was a fun hike out in the somewhat dreary day when it rained the other day. Done this hike many times over the years, you should do it once too! If you're ambitious enough. (:
Nice hike with a good view all around, at the summit. It was a bit windy on the steep side, so my walking stick came in handy.
Level of difficulty medium, gear sujested boots walking stick is helpful and plenty of water . An early start helps.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
