Confirmed from Seminole State Forest Cassia Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Seminole State Forest Cassia Trail Head
“It is one of the most gorgeous trails I have seen in central Florida and very well marked.”
Had the opportunity to hike a portion of this trail. Was well marked and I enjoyed my time there. This state forest offers a wide variety of hiking trails. During hunting season, wear appropriate clothing so others can easily see you.
I hiked the North Sulphur Island Loop in March 2017. It is one of the most gorgeous trails I have seen in central Florida and very well marked. It is 8 miles long. I really took my time and it took me about 7 hours. However, the amount of ticks was unreal.
I am very happy I found this place!!! I just saw a coral snake! First venomous snake of my hiking journeys. Great place for a peaceful hike. Well marked trails, good for hiking, biking, and horseback riding.
Beautiful, this has been my favorite place to hike for over a decade. Heads up, don't forget bug spray or essential oil areas near shade and water are horse fly heavy. But won't be a problem if you're prepared
