Stunning vistas. Better than the pictures. My husband saw the so-so looking reviews and worried, but as soon as we arrived and hiked the short trail from the top-of-the-mountain parking it was stunning. Perfect at 6:15-6:45 during March for sunsets. Definitely coming back with a picnic.
Hiked here for the annual buffelgrass pull event and absolutely loved it! I highly recommend not only hiking in the area, but also joining an invasive plant pull to help this amazing landscape, it is truly an experience that you will treasure.
Nic place for some relatively easy hiking or walks. The road through the pass and to the upper parking lots aren’t open all day like the park is. Seems geared mostly for evening sunset visiting.
The hike to the peak and "A" are short, so not exhausting, but loose rock and gravel make for poor footing, so being careful is important. The vie is magnificent ent though the crowd is a bit much but everyone was cordial and gracious.
