Confirmed from Shelburne Bay Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“A Great dog friendly trail along beautiful Shelburne Bay (Lake Champlain).”

A Great dog friendly trail along beautiful Shelburne Bay (Lake Champlain). Graveled path up-to the dock. After the dock, it gets wet, slippery, muddy (we did go, the day after it rained) and rocky. I would recommend wearing appropriate hiking shoes if you are going to do the whole trail.

the trail is really nice, some places are muddy but in general it’s a nice place to walk. if you wanna go on a hike, a hard hike, i suggest you take the Allen Hill Trail. really nice view !

★★★★☆ — Océane , Mar 2024

Really nice wide easy trail through woods with conifers, then ends at a beach. The highlight was seeing this owl. Great trail for bringing my dog 🐶

★★★★★ — Patty , Jan 2021

Nice walking area. A little flat a small hill or two. Beautiful trail along the inside of Shelburne Bay out to the beach. Don't t come here though. I don't want it to get crowded! Haha.... Enjoy.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
