Confirmed from Shelley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Shelley Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (182 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Beautifully maintained, Pavillion, baseball field, two separate parks for varying ages all clean and safe, and a walking trail.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Shelley Park is a hidden gem that offers a serene escape for nature lovers and families alike.”

A good sized park considering the small town it's located in. The park includes a maintained baseball field, open field, updated jungle gym playground, and pavilions. The pavilion was very nice actually, with a large wood burning fireplace where you can cook along with the usual park metal grills.

Not very big but clean and very well maintained. Go to walk and visit a couple times a week

★★★★★ — Justin , Jun 2026

My group rented a pavilion here for a cookout. We had plenty of room, two grills to cook on and even a large fireplace. The area was neat and well taken care of. Two port-a-potties were nearby, one regular and one handicapped accessible. There is a basketball court, playground, and baseball field.

Park is lovely for children. Very clean and spacious. Running: Pros: -As a woman runner, I liked that everything is wide open and visible. Felt extremely safe here. -If you are just needing exercise, there are plenty of benches to rest. Cons: -There is a lot of exposure on the running trail. -No shade, very straight.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
