We happened to catch this park open as it is on the back side of an Elementary School. Access is verboten while School is in session! The trail head for walking paths are about 300 feet away from the path for access to kayak/canoe put in. The trails were very relaxing, there are TREES!
Nice trail, three different pathways! Though none run for that long unfortunately. Great to go see a bunch of different critters, is shaded in some parts of the trail and isn’t too hot despite the summer heat. *Don’t go on the trail that goes left near the beginning of the bridge!
It is located behind a school soThe trails are not open when school his in session. There's about three miles of trails divided by three trails. You have to go down and back. The trails do not connect. We saw ducks, turkey, fish and a deer. It was a nice way to spend an hour! Free to the public no ticket needed.
This trail is absolutely gorgeous and well-shaded by the tall trees. It starts with a boardwalk, then has some regular walking paths and bridges. The scenery with the sun peeking through the trees is really magical. When you get there, there is plenty of parking near the trailhead behind Hunter’s Creek Middle School.
