Confirmed from Whitehouse Family Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Whitehouse Family Nature Preserve
Click the thumbs up icon up below if you like my review. I'm a Google Maps Local Guide (Level 8) whose 300+ reviews and 1000+ photos have been viewed over 32 million times. The Hollister/Whitehouse Loop trail is a short, scenic hike that is perfect for a day out with the family. The trail is about 1.
The entrance may be found at this GPS address: 41.69395249193708, -72.57133876259263, or look for the blue KLT sign. There is no designated parking area, park along Tall Timbers Road. Follow the cracked asphalt driveway down to the valley. A bridge crosses over Smith Brook.
PARKING: There are two spots to either side of the crumbling pavement. It isn't marked aside from a rock, and tire tracks in the grass. The trail itself is nice. A decent little loop with a bit of elevation in the middle to get to an overlook.

- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
