We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Peninsula Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Peninsula Park
“Nice clean area to walk, run, bike, and go fishing off the jetty that extends out into the lake.”
“a beautiful place to enjoy wildflowers, you can run, walk, fish”
Beautiful park on the lake. Nice clean area to walk, run, bike, and go fishing off the jetty that extends out into the lake. The park is small,, but offers benches to sit and enjoy nature, walking paths and a small dog park, and a big green patch of land to play sports or fly a kite.
Very beautiful park. You can geta very nice sunset. Walking path is clean.
A lovely spot on the lake. Depending on the time of year the wildflowers grow 6 or 7 feet tall, so walking the pathways almost feels like walking through a maze. The grassy area would be a great spot for city or neighborhood events, so I hope it gets utilized that way.
Pretty path along Lake Hubbard in Rowlett, TX. It started out chilly, weather was a little cloudy and the wind off the water was a bit biting. But sun came out and it was beautiful! There are plenty of places to rest on your walk with benches placed around. Great walk with a dog, with a convenient dog park.
