Confirmed from Sibley Prairie Nature Preserve - West Prairie's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring groomed trails and kid-friendly hikes that are popular with walkers.
What runners say about Sibley Prairie Nature Preserve - West Prairie
“Once you get a little ways in, the traffic noise from West Road starts to fade and the trees create a nice canopy to hike under.”
Small nature preserve park. Now so much safer to enter and exit as a new tail head and bridge installed. (Previous you had to walk on West road shoulder next to cars going 45 mph). The southern third of the park trail was made by orvs and the ruts can be ankle twisters.
Conservation land. Great safe place to take a walk or walk your dog. No ATVs. The nature walk is the perfect distance and loops around back to the original trail you walked in on. Great neighborhood ☺️👍
Not a bad little hike. About a mile all in all. With it being summer it was teaming with mosquitoes. Check for ticks! Had a deer tick on my shoe when we got back to the car.
Quick, quit, 1.2 mile walk in the woods. Close to home. Butterfly heaven
