Confirmed from Slab Cabin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park offering hills suitable for sledding and picnics.
What runners say about Slab Cabin Park
The upper part of the park contains a playground, a picnic area and a small basketball court. The lower part is set for sledding and has a small picnic area with a few grills. You can walk by the river, into the bushes (there is a tiny trail), or on the open grassy area.
well. i wanted to watch the sunset on a hill as one does and to be so for real, this is not the place to do it! there are trees in the way and i don’t even think the hillside faces west. lmao oops!
It's nicely tucked in between the highways and screened by trees. It's got a huge hill for sledding. The creek is pretty but the park could use more walking trails. I exhausted them in twenty minutes and then had to walk along the bike path.
Stunning views, well maintained, and very peaceful. I come here to connect with nature and the atmosphere is simply perfect. Never spent much time on the hiking/walking trails though. I just hang out by the creek.
Trail conditions & character
“Cute, hidden, great sledding hill, decent parking, portapotty only, but we found it is a nice way to enter the bike trail midway in the shaded section.”
“Good views of the creek and woods but lots of noise from the highway.”
