Confirmed from Snail Lake Regional Park Grass Lake Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I like visiting this park because it has nice playground, good beach & shelter, working grills and even large parking lots for driving practice! There is upper level & lower level so plenty of space. The biking trails are mostly clean go in and around entire neighborhood but there are good maps for directions.

Great walking trail, well maintained. Mix of shaded parts and sunny parts. Not much elevation change so an easier walk. Raspberries were ripe and all along the trail. Many herons, saw toads and ducks as well. Relatively quiet, mostly people were on bikes. Nice wildflowers all over. No bugs.

★★★★★ — Nate , Jul 2020

Birding here is fantastic. The foggy start to the day seemed to keep the migrating birds grounded. Tried to take the meadow turf loop, but a downed tree in the east leg was a "no go" for my dogs (it was just about passable).

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.

  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
