I hiked to grand prospect. It was steeper than I anticipated, but a great exercise. The trail overall was fairly boring with few views until Grand Prospect. With that said, it's in wonderful condition and the payoff is spectacular! I was surprised by the dozens of mountain bikers enjoying their trails.
One the best park to visit near seattle, this place is a big open area to see multiple mountains and landscapes, it is good to visit in all places, it is never crowded and will always be able to find the parking, do anything here walk run trail fly kite drone etc.
It's the picnic spot from Twin Peaks but it is also a really pretty green space. Totally great place to go walking about and would ya believe... have a picnic?
Hiked this on 1/22/23. I knew the surrounding areas had received snow, so I anticipated a little. The trail had a couple inches of snow up until around Grand Prospect. We ended at Rattlesnake Mountain, so we didn't get to East Peak. But, it's only 1/4 mile away or so.
