Confirmed from Soldier Beach Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Flat walking and hiking trail leading to a beach with picnic tables and benches.
What runners say about Soldier Beach Trailhead
“It's definitely worth the walk and the water is so clean & a little tip for you don't wear flip flops 🙋🏼♀️”
“7 mile long according to the signs, mainly flat with few and mild inclinations, in the middle of beautiful wooded nature, next to the water for about 40% of the route.”
The parking is a large gravel lot, but fine gravel, so it doesn't hurt your tires. Now out of the car you approach the woods. Here you have 2 possibilities: take the trail to the right and walk through a canopy of trees, following the trail and you will be at the beach after 0.
It was a great find !! My wife and I are handicap and we didn't have any problems getting through the trail !! The hidden beach was awesome 😎 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
As in most Crossville hiking trails, Soldier's Beach is a low-elevation-change trail, AND the newly opened Meadow Park Lake North trail is across from Soldier's Beach parking. Hiking both adds an easy 4.2 miles on to your daily steps 😎 Great casual trails for young and not-so-young.
Very easy trial. The whole thing takes less than an hour, and that's stopping to take pictures. If you're just getting into hiking, this is a good start, with some nice views of the lake. More seasoned hikers will find this too easy and too short.
