Confirmed from South Park Game Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve with peacocks, buffalo, ducks, geese, and turtles, plus picnic tables.
What runners say about South Park Game Preserve
A diamond in the rough! Discovered on a weekend drive, we were amazed at this Game Preserve we happened upon. Fountains, ducks, geese and turtles are a welcome greet upon parking in the lot. So tranquil to just sit and think.
A hidden gem! We loved watching the turtles bask in the sun and interact with the ducks. We went to see the baby buffalo and were slightly disappointed to find the pack lingering at the top of the hill, far from the main area. We soon discovered we could drive to the top for a better view!
I loved bring my daughter here yesterday to visit! The place is always well kept and clean. The animals were out and seemed to be happy! The pond has tons of turtles and ducks that really don't mind you getting a closer look at them!
Small walkable area (all wheelchair/stroller accessible) with ducks, a peacock, and viewing areas where you may or may not be able to see the bison depending on where the herd is. It's a cool spot if the animals are not being shy!
