Awesome hiking/walking experience in the middle of an urban area. The majority of the trail is recycled asphalt from roads. The picture that goes along with this review is the part at the top of South Park before you go twords the Montour trail. Can definitely spend all day on the trails if you wanted to.

Great place for taking long walk to the South Park or head south and walk on the extension part of trail. Trail also is a great mountain biking route which offers a lot of up and down hill paths throughout the woods. During summer it can be humid and full of bugs so have bug spray and a lot of water!

Nice trail. It's been at least ten years, but I used to ride on this section since it was near my parents' home in Pleasant Hills. Some traffic to contend with depending on time of day; week or weekend.
