Confirmed from Southport Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakefront park with a playground, picnic tables, and opportunities for relaxation.

This Was A Really Cool, And Beautiful Park To Take Photos of! The Signs that The City Has At These Parks are Super Amazing, And I'm Thinking Of Visiting More Of These Parks In Kenosha. I Took A Stop Here, To Take A Break And Take Pictures Of The Lake Front, And Then Headed To Downtown Kenosha.
Beautifully located park, beautiful views of Lake Michigan. The nice time spent here can count as the better part of my day. Everything here is neat and clean around. An ideal place for walking and relaxing in the fresh air.
Very nice area to walk and see the lake, nice beach and plenty of space to enjoy with family and friends as well as pets.
The Southport beach house is historical and has a nice beach. Nice walking path with lots of trees and a cute playground. It also has access to the Kenosha sand dunes which is also another nice place to go

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
