Confirmed from Southwest Park - Plainview's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Southwest Park - Plainview

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (67 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“So clean and nice big and on the side has water pad for summer nice restrooms about 10 spots to park.”

Nice little park area in a nice neighborhood. Has paved concrete path to walk, jog or run. There is a half court basketball goal there, only problem with court is standing water after it rains. The play area for the kids is very nice and big. Large slides, monkey bars and ropes course And also swings.

Great play area for the family, splash pad, covered seating, basketball court, and walking trail! 😍 Plus the bathroom/ Porter potty was immaculate, smelled like bubblegum in there! 😂👌 Definitely not your average Porter potty. 😂💩

★★★★★ — Keke , Jul 2019

This park is beautiful. The playground is well maintained and it has a splash pad. There's a small walking trail as well. One of our favorite parks in Ardmore.

Great place to take the kids and family. Picnic pavilion. Walking paths and ball court. Playground area...and most importantly restrooms.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
