Great place to visit if you enjoy being outdoors and viewing/photographing wildlife. There were nice boardwalks and trails to walk on. I enjoyed seeing all kinds of waterfowl, other birds, and alligators. I even saw a roadrunner, but I was not nearly fast enough to get a picture of that dude.
This park was so neat. With access to the rio and other cut off river sections. This is a larger park with plenty of trails and bike rentals. The staff was awesome and helpful. It was very hot but definitely worth it. The birds and butterflies were very present even in the heat of summer.
I always enjoy walking this park. We didn't see a ton of birds but my cousin enjoyed her first trip to the park. Others would share what they had seen and we did find some of them.
🌿One of the most peaceful and beautiful parks in the RGV💚 A true hidden gem for nature lovers🫶 The walking trails were clean and well-marked, surrounded by wildflowers in full bloom 🪻🪷& so many different 🐦 & 🦋. There are picnic tables, clean restrooms, and a lookout point with stunning views .
