Confirmed from Spanish Fork River Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Spanish Fork River Trailhead
Beautiful trail alongside the river, came in the fall as all the leaves were changing colors. The path is well-maintained and used regularly. A great place for a stroll!
This trail is part of a larger urban trail system. Long, paved accessible trail frequented by locals. Parallels the Spanish Fork River for a portion, but does not provide river access except at the trailhead. The westbound portion is much longer and is fully exposed.
Better than the Provo Riverwalk and less crowded. Well maintained asphalt biking/walking trail that takes you through wooded areas, by fields, over bridges and next to water. Quite a bit of it is shaded although the middle part is exposed so put on sunscreen. We saw a barn owl, lots of deer, and some farm animals.
The Spanish Fork River Trail is awesome. It runs right along the river and it has so many trees that is seems no matter what time of day you go you’ll have good shade. It’s fairly level so either way you go it is enjoyable
