This was an unexpected find on our visit to Cleveland. We were looking for places to go with our dogs and found this location. We were expecting to walk around the castle and have a short trail, but were very impressed by all the park had to offer.
I have spent so much time at Squire's Castle over the years. I find it secluded, interesting, and charming. It's not too far off the beaten path, yet just far enough that there's not lots of traffic. There's plenty of parking and the paths are well maintained. The castle is very bare.
Squire’s Castle has been on our to-visit list for a while, and finally we were able to explore it on the first nice day after winter season. It was definitely a plus because we had the place almost all for ourselves. It is free, no tickets required.
This place is pretty cool. I'm sure it was amazing back in the day when it was actually being used. I can only imagine what the rest of the grounds would have looked like had they been developed like originally planned. The trail behind the castle wasn't bad either.
