Confirmed from Stanley Peak's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Stanley Peak

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (19 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

A great hike! Views are worth the challenge. Bring plenty of water as there are many areas without shade. Trails are in pretty decent condition in nearly all areas (hardly any loose dirt/rocks that make it likely to lose footing) with only some areas of erosion/deep divots in the middle of the trails.

★★★★☆ — Jennifer , Sep 2019

Wonderful trails. Gets rocky towards the top if you take the route by the "OWT" Old water tower. There is a second trail to the top much more accessable.

Daley Ranch is a not-so-hidden gem of Daley Ranch. Stanley Peak is visible from almost every part of town. Trails range from paved to rugged dirt trails offering something for everyone from nature walkers to trail runners. Stanley Peak crowns the preserve at 1983 feet (603 meters).

★★★★★ — Taylor , Apr 2025

Very scenic and good exercise with the hills here. After all the rain we had Thai season, Daley Ranch is still very colorful and full of plants in bloom. This was my first trail on Daley Ranch and I highly recommend it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
