Confirmed from Daley Ranch Dixon Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

★★★★★ — Jessica , Jul 2025

Loads of trails and wildlife to enjoy. We came on a Fri and it wasn't busy at all. The homestead area is pretty neat with old farm equipment and building and There is a restroom and picnic tables in that area.

★★★★★ — Karen , Mar 2021

Great hike. Long but not too difficult. Many places to explore and discover. Saw a rattlesnake but the trail was wide enough to have enough reaction time - be careful out there! Sage trail turns shady hear the Ranch House just when you need the shade.

★★★★★ — Brendan , Jul 2019

Large park with rangers post and many facilities. Free parking lot. Only if you drive to Lake Dixon and pass rangers post, you need to pay entrance. In weekends only I believe. Check their site Daley Ranch itself has trails connecting to the lake (southeast) but mostly leading north direction.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
