We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Stern Park Opelika, AL yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Stern Park Opelika, AL
“The dog park is pretty and well maintained.”
What a treasure for our community! My dog loves to go and play at this park. Such a thoughtful donation by the Stern Family. The park has walking paths, leash-free, fenced-in dog park, pavilion for picnicking, ‘little free library’, and caboose from the old train depot relocated and displayed prominently in front.
It's a great little park. But again it would be much more useful for moms if the walking path were paved. Babies would be shaken half to death on the paths there. I know. I ended up walking through the grass just so my daughter didn't have to be jostled so badly. Otherwise it's great.
I enjoyed a quick walk at the park today. Loved seeing the "Little Library", the water tower, and the caboose. The art building is going to be beautiful!
Jake (my puppy, Labra-Russel) really enjoyed it. Being able to run and be off his leash. Plus, we were alone, so he didn't have to share his toys
