Confirmed from Steyer Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hilly, scenic trails popular with hikers, plus canoe access.
What runners say about Steyer Nature Preserve
“Many bridges to cross, hills to climb, scenic view of Sandusky River, 2 sets of stairs and numerous benches to rest on.”
So many options for routes and different scenery all over! From wild flower fields to ravines to marshy - this was a fun trail! At some points you forgot that you're in Northwest Ohio because of the elevation changes.
Have spent many miles out on the trails at Steyer the past decade plus or so. Always something new to experience with every visit. Bring your "dirty" shoes. It can get quite muddy.
Great place to take a walk. Plenty of trails and nature. Great place for photography.
My Daughter and I like to go for walks/ hikes to new places, someone told me about this place I never knew existed. There is a nice parking area to start. There are many trails to chose from,in varying distances.

“It had rained a couple days before we went so, it was a bit muddy but, still easy to hike through.”
“Don't let make it sound like this is mountainous, but most trails in the area are very flat, so this is a wonderful change of pace.”
