Confirmed from Stone House Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Stone House Trail
Not a smooth walk due to rough gravel. At the top of the bluff you will come upon a picnic table near the ruins. Perhaps if you bring lunch, the ghosts of Franz & Metta Cordes may join you. All & all a great hike.
Find the farmhouse ruins. Plan on 45min-1 hour to find it on the trail.
This is a nice trail, a fairly easy one for most folks. The trail head is unmarked. It's right off Hay Creek Trail (the gravel road), and it's just a pull out area with a gate with a No Parking sign. "No Parking directly in front of the gate" is how I interpret that sign, there is plenty of space for parking.
It's a good 2ish mile hike on the side of a bluff. It's a rather gradual incline for most of the way with short sections of steeper slope. House is pretty cool, but don't climb on it.

“If you go left, it can be quite steep, so pick your poison if you want harder going up or down.”
