Confirmed from Stoneybrook Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Stoneybrook Nature Trail
This is a paved trail in a wooded area near the road. What I love most about it is that for a short while, I can believe I’m out in an undisturbed rural area. There is a boardwalk overlook area where one can watch for wildlife.
I have such fond childhood memories of this place. My mother would take my sister and I here semi weekly during all seasons. Great place to let kids explore and learn! There's a boardwalk and wetlands. If you're lucky, you get to see the huge snapping turtle and other furry friends!
Small, modest, mostly shaded. 5* is a personal rating, not necessarily a recommendation, as I like it for convenience and proximity to legacy trail and potter park

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
