Confirmed from Summerfield Athletic Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-kept park with ball fields, playgrounds and soccer fields.
What runners say about Summerfield Athletic Park
“Very nice, and well maintained 🥎⚾️ fields, I love playing there.”
The fields are pretty nice. However they are nice enough to charge each person that enters. If anything the cost should be incorporated in the registration fee. I also think it is a BIG inconvenience to only take cash. In addition, the bathrooms should have warm running water.
SRA Rec Baseball is well run and a great environment for the kids. All of the volunteer coaches are great with the players and our kids really enjoy playing baseball at their facilities. Great overall experience and would recommend to anyone looking to get their kids into baseball/softball.
Great location for youth sporting events. Parking tends to fill up quickly. Concession stand available. Very little shade to stay cool.
Clean and nice area. Big field. Love the events there. Great place to take the kids to run around and have fun on the playground.
Trail conditions & character
“Soccer field barely has any green grass but overall the space is very big and the restrooms are good.”
“The place is clean with paved parking and sidewalks.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
