Confirmed from Sunrise Beach Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sunrise Beach Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (430 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“Gravel parking, a little field, some picnic tables and a nice picturesque view of Mt.”

Perfect gem of a beach, with beautiful views! Parking can be limited in the lot (probably enough room for 15 or so cars), so some cars were parked on the grass area. There is a porta-potty in the parking lot, along with a garbage can.

I went there with kids in mid winter. Amazing view with water and mountain. Kids loved collecting seashell and walking at the beach. We get to see lot of starfish. In Summer, it should be amazing.

One of the best spots for walk in scuba diving in the U.S. Be respectful of private beaches. For God's sake don't kill the sea life here people.q

Nice little beach, not too much of a walk from parking lot. Really pretty views of Rainier, Vashon Island & the Narrows. Clear water, lots of trees where you can sit under and enjoy. Nice little walk with low tie!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
