Confirmed from Sunset Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sunset Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (202 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“Everything is in great shape and the grounds are very well maintained.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Built in grills, pavilion, baseball diamond, kids play ground, flushing toilets (male and female), soccer post (without nets), plenty of parking, and beautiful sunsets!”

Nicely kept baseball fields in a 4 pack type style. All field are multiage with no fences. Far west can be tough in the late afternoon as the sun is directly in the batters/catchers eyes. Tournaments here are well run with good concessions. Only issue is bathrooms are a little walk from the fields.

Very clean area located next to the Glacial Drumlin state trail. Nice that they have two climbing/slide pieces of equipment for younger and older kids. Lots of activity choices between baseball, basketball, soccer and a lot of open areas. Also has a shelter.

My son loves it here. He did get stung by a wasp in the sand pit, so be careful there. But during the middle of the week this place is never busy and it's a huge park to run around at and have fun.

★★★★★ — Elunemoon , Dec 2019

Large park with a variety of options - big soccer fields, a kid's play area and a temporary trail head for the Glacial Drumlin trail. Great parking, easy off the county roads.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
