The walking path is actually 2 paths. One is open to all, including bicycles and dogs. Our dog (and our bicycles love it. If you want to avoid bikes and pups there is a separate path for walkers and runners.
This is better described as Surfside Biking path, stretching about 9 miles from behind the Ritz-Carlton just South of Haulover Inlet to the South Pointe jetty in Miami. I love riding here. It' a wide, paved walkway (or bikeway as I prefer to call it.
One of the quietest beaches I’ve ever been to; the water is so clear and the sand unblemished. There are fabulous wash stations as you exit the walking path back into the metro area. The evening views are fantastic and the beach during the daytime is widely unused and available for easy access picnicking.
Great place to have a run or walk, however beware of crazy angry bicyclists. They do not care that people are walking there with the dogs and kids. Slow the f...k down, or if you are so competitive ride on A1A, there is a bicycle lane there!
