Confirmed from Swan River Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve offering wildlife, picnic tables, benches, and a pond with swans.
What runners say about Swan River Preserve
“Gorgeous and well maintained park.”
“Short picturesque paved trail along Swan River with ample parking, loop can be done in 10-15 mins.”
“Perfect for small walks with elderly (my mom really enjoyed it) or a just a quiet stroll to take in nature.”
Nice peaceful place to relax, walk and enjoy time with family, friends or by yourself.
Such a beautiful, underrated little area! Yes, the loop is short, but it's satisfying walking around it all you want, it's as long a walk as you make it. It's a great way to get intimate looks into pond life; I've spotted various turtles for instance, as well as frogs, egrets, lizards, ducks and great blue herons.
Super accessible! Client who uses walker found the path to be really nice and not difficult to navigate. Small walk around water added to the calmness. Benches and picnic tables are also there and having dinner was really wonderful!
Short picturesque paved trail along Swan River with ample parking, loop can be done in 10-15 mins. That’s the only reason for lower rating of 4 stars. I have hoped for a bit longer trail…
