We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Sweetwater Creek Pedestrian Bridge yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sweetwater Creek Pedestrian Bridge
“Beautiful pedestrian bridge that cross Sweetwater Creek in Sweetwater Creek State Park to connect trails on both sides of the creek.”
Paddled upstream from just above class 4 rapids. Flow was 150 cfs. Above this pedestrian bridge there are two small shoals that you have to portage to get further upstream. You can just walk your boat over the rocks.
Incredible park and very well maintained bridge. We were impressed with how well kept the bridge and the trails were. Makes sure you be careful on the trails near the water after some rain. They tend to get very muddy and slippery.
Pretty bridge with some interesting history. The hike out to it is relatively easy and scenic due to primarily being along the river. Awesome place to come and find some softshell turtles and yellow bellied sliders. There are also red eared sliders you can see along here, though they're invasive.
Beautiful pedestrian bridge that cross Sweetwater Creek in Sweetwater Creek State Park to connect trails on both sides of the creek. It is mainly a metal bridge. From it you can take nice pictures of the creek. Upstream, and downstream.
