Confirmed from Sycamore Canyon Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with trails leading to a waterfall, plus streams, and oak and poison oak trees.
What runners say about Sycamore Canyon Falls
“This is such a beautiful hike, its about 3 miles round trip, it does have a steady incline for a little bit but a beautiful waterfall that you can climb up.”
“Not much shade at the beginning of the trail, i.”
“Temperature drops at the bottom of the canyon, easy trail for kids just keep an eye on them.”
Awesome hike with amazing views. Bring a hat! There's slim to no shade.
I love taking the family here for hiking. The view is breathtaking. I see a lot of people taking their dogs for walks/run, families with kids, older couples just out for a stroll, etc. There are a lot of trails to choose from. I recommend to park at wendy and Potrero. There's a map of all the trails there.
Beautiful place and nice scenery. Don't need much experience in this hike. Good hike for beginners.
My favorite local waterfall It flows best in winter and spring but most years it manages to flow year round. It's not a big fall it's a rugged natural spring that over the past 10,000 years that has made its mark. What my kids and i like the most is that there is life in the water.
