Confirmed from Point Mugu State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What a neat little cove beach along California Hwy 1. Waves are rough so I wouldn’t recommend swimming but you can walk along the edge of the water just fine. This is a good picture spot. There are grills you can use to cook some food and porta potty toilets. Drinking fountains are available as well.

A great place for camping and recreation at the north end of Malibu before you cross over into Oxnard. Good tent camping sites with showers on site. Walk under the bridge to the beach and enjoy sunsets from the point. All a huge sand dune and many hikes in the park.

Awesome place to camp! On one side you have hills to hike and explore. On the other side you have the beach. Campsite is clean. Good size spots to camp..some you can fit up to 4 cars. Management is friendly..come around selling firewood if you need some. Caution..

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
