Confirmed from Tacony Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Tacony Creek Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,832 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“It’s a nice place for a walk and certain areas are clean enough for a dip.”

Great place to go riding just have to be careful with the people walking and riding pedal bikes

★★★★★ — Chris , Jun 2023

If you like nature and all that it has to offer this might be the place for you. The park has a paved walkway which makes walking and biking easier. There are many places to sit and think or watch animals. I suggest that you stay out of the water though. It’s really not a swimming spot.

Trail is about 3 miles long . Good for runs and walks.. Lots of deers. Nice creek

★★★★★ — Claudia , Aug 2022

This is a nice park to get a morning or afternoon walk ( wouldn't go there at night). It has a paved trail and then some dirt trails to get to the creek. Some places were cleaner than others but nothing that bad. It has benches in different spots, also saw a few picnic tables.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🛣️ Paved surface 4 mentions

“A peaceful patch of nature in the midst of this bustling and busy concrete city.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
