Confirmed from Tam O'Shanter Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great park with baseball pitches, playground and a walking trail with views of the cowlitz river. There were several bees hovering around the picnic area, but we moved to a different table and didn't have any problems

I went there to run on the dirt trail that surrounds the park. Although, its not very long, it is peaceful 😉

★★★★☆ — D , Jul 2017

Great place to bring a picnic. There are many shade trees and picnic tables. Open space for dogs and kids to run around. Nice walking trail. Right off I-5, so easy access and works as a great spot to meet up with family. Sports complex, restrooms available, lots of open grassy fields!

★★★★★ — Kathleen , Jul 2023

We stopped by before a football game. It's a nice playground especially for climbers. Parking is easy, covered areas nearby, and close bathrooms. Bathrooms have flushing toilets and running water, but are kind of smelly and gross.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
