We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Willow Grove yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 5 mentions

“The facilities are well-maintained, with a nice looking boat ramp and plenty of restrooms conveniently located throughout the park.”

My wife and I were in the area so we decided to check out Willow Grove. This place is pretty cool! Lots of free parking (sunrise to sunset)! The park consists of a really nice long beach along the Washington side of the Columbia River…lots of shelters with picnic tables, and a combination of bbq’s, and fire pits at…

Lovely park with a nice walking trail. Beachfront along one entire side of the park. Lots of people fishing. Cool spot, playground seemed modern and nice.

I go here often to take a walk, watch the ships go by, have a picnic and just breathe. Beautiful any time of year. Great for bird watching, collecting river rocks and driftwood. Very well maintained by Port of Longview. Wear a life vest if you get in the water. There's a significant drop-off not far from shore.

One of my favorite places to relax and/or ride my bike around the loop. I've never seen it dirty, restrooms or grounds. Lots of flat space for canopies or games, and parking galore. Love being right on the river, so close to the huge cargo ships, too!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 7 mentions

“It's dog friendly and they have poo bags so you can clean up after your fur baby.”
