Confirmed from Tellbrook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Calm outdoor space featuring shade trees, picnic tables and playgrounds.
What runners say about Tellbrook Park
“Such a special, little, sanctuary to relax under the big shade trees, close your eyes & fully take in the "music" of the multiple birds.”
“Its a very secluded and peaceful park with a little playground, picnic area and even a little exercise trail.”
Small park south of Las Cruces. Tucked away and not easy to find. Sidewalk makes it easy to walk through the park. Doesn't seem to be very frequently used. View of Organ mountains. Benches and picnic tables. Small play area. There was exercise equipment but it has been vandalized.
Its a very secluded and peaceful park with a little playground, picnic area and even a little exercise trail. Nature is all around and you can see small animals such as bunnies, Quails etc. Not to mention the view of the mountains. This is a very tranquil space.
Nice quite. Lots of room to run around.. nice shade.. bring lots of water. Basketball courts swings.. small "work out" trail
Very nice family park. Went in the early evening with my wife for a makeshift picnic. Met some very nice young couples that had their children out on the paved walking paths. Just a nice mellow place.

“This seems to be an old park, seeing as the water fountain with Rusty and didn't work, but this was actually a gem of a park, as I never knew it was here!”
“I took three of my little dogs with me, and as you first enter the park.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
