Veteran friendly. I paid nothing to get in. Definitely want to wear water shoes. The lake is filled with beer cans/bottles and such. Overall, the boats abide by the rules of how close they can get to the shoreline so it makes it safe to swim.
Perfect Summer Spot! Absolutely loved our time here! The lake is beautiful, with cool water and plenty of space to relax or swim. There’s a great mix of grassy areas and beach spots, perfect for picnics or setting up for the day.
Beautiful place to share with loved ones. There is a nice paved walking-bike trail that runs along side the lake. Plenty of shade and natural beauty.
I thought this was a really great park with a great view of the lake. I visited on the day of the eclipse. I arrived a little before the park opened and spoke with a couple of park staff. They were very friendly and helped me with the payment process. $5 for the day which I thought was a good deal.
