Confirmed from Thames Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Thames Creek Trailhead
“Love this trail - under 100m of elevation, well maintained, beautiful views”
This place is like totally perfect for strolling and hiking! And they added this adorbs wooden bridge, so like unique! 😍😍😍
Located near the main parking area this trailhead connects you to the trail system within Dash Point State Park. A lot of use on a Saturday late morning. Trails are well maintained with boardwalks over wetter areas. Trails are muddy (Jan. 2023 visit).
This is a great trail to get some good exercise, its not usually very busy and Dash Point Park is in the same parking lot!
Most of the trails are marked with signs but it came in handy to take a pic of the trail map before getting lost in the woods. Google maps doesn’t have all the small trails mapped out.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
