Confirmed from The Milford Knob's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about The Milford Knob

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (67 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 10 mentions

“There is another path which is longer, but not as steep, but both paths are rewarding and scenic.”

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

The Milford Knob is the northern terminus of the Cliff Trail near Milford, PA. The Knob affords a great view of the town of Milford and the surrounding area. Gray Towers can be spied with a little effort and the route 206 bridge into NJ is easily visible.

The view at the end is worth it! It's a "moderate" level hike (aaaand I'm wayyy outta shape, but that's my own fault...). Definitely wear good hiking shoes or boots. 1.35 mi one way. The last quarter mile or so is a significant climb.

★★★★★ — Steve , Oct 2023

A lovely hike, moderately strenuous in difficultly. The ascent up to the cliff can be pretty steep, and hikers should be wary of the climb up to the lookout via the Milford Knob Trailhead parking lot. The view has been greatly improved, and the new line of sight is worth it.

only saw one person on a sunday late evening hike. beautiful overlook of the town. some steep parts but not too difficult.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 25 mentions

“In addition, those who make it to the top are rewarded with a wonderful view of Milford.”
